EnerScale is pleased to announce the release of Closed Beta Version 8, now available for limited access. This latest version introduces a major update to the EnerScale platform’s billing system — transitioning from a flat-rate model to a “base fee + usage-based” pricing structure.
Under the previous flat-rate model, customers were charged a fixed amount regardless of the volume of solar panel operational data or external data used for analysis. As a result, users with smaller data volumes were sometimes paying more than the actual usage justified. With this update, EnerScale enables a more flexible and cost-efficient structure, allowing fees to scale according to the size of each customer’s dataset.

■ How the Usage-Based System Works
Fees are calculated based on the duration of solar panel operational data (US$0.1/day) and data transfer volume (US$0.01/day). Within the same dataset, users can recalculate up to three times per month at no additional cost, as long as the recalculation remains within the initially defined data period.
If the data period is extended within the same billing month, additional daily usage fees will apply for the extended period. When a new data point is added, a new base fee (US$15/month) and associated usage-based fees will be charged, regardless of the billing month.

EnerScale is currently in the research and development (R&D) and proof of concept (PoC) phase, and is available exclusively to select partners. EnerScale plans to publicly launch the platform during FY2026.
