On February 3 -4, 2024, Yokohama City and the Yokohama Future Organization, in cooperation with businesses and universities, organized the YOXO FESTIVAL 2024 to foster innovation across the city. Our co-founder, Saki Kobayashi, spoke at the Yokohama City Economic Affairs Bureau seminar on “Expectations for Yokohama’s startup ecosystem.” In her speech, “Potential of Yokohama’s Startup Ecosystem: From a Perspective of a Singaporean Startup,” she shared four key features of Singapore’s startup ecosystem based on her experience as a startup founder. She also discussed the potential of Yokohama’s startup ecosystem, the city she grew up in.
In 2019, Yokohama declared itself Innovation City Yokohama. In 2020, the Japanese government selected Yokohama, as part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Consortium, as one of four Global Startup Cities. EnerScale will continue to foster innovation ecosystems globally, including in Yokohama.
